It’s been one of those long weekends which are really enjoyable, but you don’t really get much done in the way of cleaning up or organizing. Instead, we went shopping at the local Walmart and came away with way too much stuff.
Since it’s close to Halloween (let’s face it… one month is considered close — considering there are already Christmas decorations on sale already), we decided to go to the local Michael’s on Saturday to get a few things. I had mentioned a baby blanket project I’ll be working on.. and I just started it this Saturday… with some really pretty yarn.
We also picked out two Christmas ornaments for our tree. I picked a polar bear, which was really cute. And R picked out some blue swirly ornament…. I think we’re going to start making this an annual thing.. picking out ornaments together… I may even put the date on them so we remember which year we got which ornament.
We also ended up picking out a few spooky things for the house for Halloween. I really wanted to get something fun to tack onto my front door, but since I live in an apartment building, and the other tenants aren’t so concerned about keeping this building a nice place to live (i.e. leaving trash everywhere… vandalizing the elevator… stealing people’s door mats, etc…) I decided not to hang any of the more expensive wares on the door…
We ended up getting a huge spider and some “webbing” to decorate the entryway. We also picked out a pirate skeleton with adjustable arms to hang around the entryway. Then, I thought, I think I’ll go to Walgreens or Walmart to get some cheap-o “Happy Halloween” sign to hang on the door and if it gets stolen or vandalized, I don’t care. We ended up at Walmart and got a door poster real cheap… and a few other goodies.. like another spider, some candy, a witch’s hat for me and a mask for R. I think we’re almost all set for Halloween, now. I do want to get a candy dish… but I have one specific in mind. I hope I can find it. We may just hide from the trick-or-treaters… and hoarde the candy for ourselves. LOL! But we may be generous and give out the candy.. it depends on how I feel.
I also got stickers and stuff for a scrapbook I’m working on. I’m not really very crafty… I just like doing it, though I think I may have overdone it. LOL.

Ooo, how exciting getting all togged-up for Halloween
As I said in another post, we Brits don’t seem to go all out for Halloween like the USA does. I wish we did though…
Also, I like the sound of the craft album you are working on. Very intriguing…
Hey, now we have one another’s address, do you fancy swapping Halloween cards?
Hope the rest of the week will be a great one for you!
Hugs,
xx
Hi Lins! Sounds like fun! I can’t wait to go around look for stuff! Yay! Something to do!
We going to handmake our own card then? I’m up for that

I suppose I could try my hand at that… sure you don’t want a sweater instead? it’s probably easier. Lol!
