I suppose it would be easier to just say Friday morning, but I think it sounds better as tomorrow night, especially since the peak of the meteor shower is supposed to be at about 2am local time.
I cannot wait to go out and see if I can catch a few with my camera again. I know, every time I go out and set up the camera, I always end up getting a little disappointed because I always end up with nothing but blackness with a few spots and no real streaks in the sky. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped trying.
I will be out in full force with my 4 scarves, 2 sweatshirts, thick jacket, hat, and gloves, along with my lawn chair, my tripod and my trusty camera. I will have to invest in an SLR camera, eventually; one that will be able to keep its shutter open for longer periods of time instead of 15 seconds. The only other time I could leave it open longer was when I had it hooked up to my computer by the door. And that was a chore to set-up.
I literally had to sit by an open window, freezing my tushie off, while I set the camera up for 3 minute timers… and even then, the computer locked up a few times. Since then, I’ve just resigned myself to trying to take photos with the longest shutter speed I have, which is about 2 minutes, I think.
Anyway, I hope you all will try to see the meteors tomorrow night. I think it will be a good one.
