I had the day off today. It wasn’t a vacation, mind you. Rather, it was a day for me to go up to Sacramento to take a test for work.
Instead of going up early in the morning in potentially horrible rush hour traffic, I decided along with R, that it would probably be easier if we left the night before and stayed over in a motel. We did this… and it was okay. I wish the room was nicer.. but I suppose you get what you pay for.
I did get to sleep early and got up early when the alarm rang. I was still tired, I admit. I really wasn’t up to taking this test. I’ve taken this test before and it was pretty easy to pass. That’s the thing: You pass or fail. But you get ranked. I don’t know where I rank. I don’t know if I want to know.
I did pass, though. I got a 95%. When I get my career credits added, it should bump me up to 98%. Of course those who are veterans and have career credits can get up to 106%. Fun, eh? I guess I was a little overwhelmed from the cold and the sniffles. It was freezing up in Sacramento. I am so glad I had brought some extra blankets with me. We needed them!
Bonehead! Of course with all the running around and stuff, I would manage to forget something! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I ended up forgetting my cell phone charger. Now, I have to go around tomorrow to try to find one. I just hope I can.
And let’s not mention all the near-misses on the freeway today! Where do these (bonehead) people learn to drive? Because it’s obviously not from this country. We were also counting how many people were on their cellphones while driving. I counted about 15 in the first half hour of driving… of course we weren’t paying all that much attention to other people. But still.. Attention drivers on cell phones: You need to get off the road, put your car in park, and then have your conversation. We don’t need to see you driving one-handed… it’s bad enough you can’t drive with two hands.

Hey, well done you for getting 95% on your test. You clever ol’ stick you!
Anyway, I do hope that the *sniffles* are starting to ease-off for you now? Good job you had the presence of mind to take extra blankets with you to Sacramento with you
Look after yourself, Yuriko…
Talk to you soon

Just don’t leave those extra blankets in Sacramento. They are obviously good luck charms for you.
