I know I’m a little out of the loop, what with Hollywood churning out stars left and right.
My husband and I recently used Netflix to rent a movie called The House Bunny. It was one of those really dumb comedies from Happy Madison Productions, the company founded by Adam Sandler, whose box office track record is a little shaky but still impressive with hits such as 50 First Dates, Click, Bedtime Stories, and Grandma’s Boy (which I think as a very underrated movie).
The House Bunny is really a movie about being yourself. And I really enjoyed the dumb jokes and things that Anna Faris does in the movie, but the real surprise was Katharine McPhee. I had no idea she was in the movie in the first place. I sort of recognized her when she sang, but it was still a little unclear until after the makeover. Not bad of a start, though it doesn’t look like this was her first role on film. Possibly her first role with an actual name.
Would I reccommend The House Bunny? I would to those would want to watch a dumb movie that’s still cute and sweet — and geared towards girls, but has all the eye-candy for the guys.

Thanks for the review.
